THE COMPANION WEBSITE (www.wiley.com/go/fraud_detection) offers the IDEA data files used in the examples and demonstrations of the step-by-step procedures outlined in this book. Using the data files, IDEA users can follow along to enhance their data analytic skills. The IDEAScripts listed and described in Chapter 17 are also included. IDEA users can run the scripts using the included data files or apply them to their own data sets to immediately test for anomalies of potential fraud.

The reader can obtain a demonstration version of the most current version of the IDEA software at: www.caseware.com/IDEACDBook1.
Complete the web form and the link to a downloadable demo will be sent to your e-mail address. At the bottom of the page, from the Book pull-down menu, please choose “Fraud and Fraud Detection.”
The demonstration version of IDEA is fully functional, but data files are limited to 1,000 records each.
Download the “Fraud and Fraud Detection.zip” file from the companion website and unzip the files under the IDEA Projects folder as shown in the following graphic. The zip file size is 200MB and will unzip to 3GB.
The Custom Functions.ILB folder contains the Date_Conversion.ideafunc custom function. The Macros.ILB folder contains a Visual Script and the IDEAScripts that are displayed in the following screenshot.
