Chapter 12. Reporting Tools

This chapter will cover the ins and outs of selecting, designing, and implementing one or more reporting clients for your BI solution. The focus of the chapter will be on using Microsoft clients. Many third-party options are available as well but discussing them is beyond the scope of this book.

The selection of an appropriate set of client tools can make or break your BI solution. Ideally, you will select your client strategy near the beginning of your project, as support (or lack of) for various SSAS features in the selected client tools is an important design consideration. Given that backdrop, this is what we'll discuss in the chapter:
