As I said in the CS3 version of this book, "Working with a coauthor can be a tricky business. In fact, it is a lot like a marriage. Everything is wonderful when things are going well, but you never really discover the strength of the relationship until you get deep into it." When David and I started working together on this volume's predecessor, I don't think either of us expected it to become the deep friendship and close professional relationship that has developed over the past couple of years. It truly is an incredible experience to write a book with a coauthor when you can't tell who wrote what in the book.
