This chapter discusses best design practices for two popular design programs, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator CS5, and how to configure each for web design. Although I try to generalize the concepts as broadly as possible, I recommend you own a copy of one of the programs or at least be familiar with how they work to follow along.
