Greenhouse gas – carbon dioxide emissions reduction technologies

This chapter begins by discussing the environmental and health effects of the greenhouse gases and emissions of the greenhouse gases, with an emphasis on those emitted from fossil fuel combustion, specifically CO2. This is followed by discussions of the CO2 capture technologies, transport and storage of CO2, and the economics of CO2 capture and sequestration. The chapter concludes with a discussion on the permanence, monitoring, mitigation, and verification of CO2 capture and storage.
