Introducing Objects

Now that our app is functional (but rather boring), let’s make it a little more interesting by introducing our first object.

As you might remember from the last chapter, an object is very similar to a database table in the Force Platform. The platform comes with a number of standard objects, like contacts, accounts, and cases, which support default apps like Salesforce Sales and Salesforce Call Center. We can also define custom objects that allow us to store information specific to our Recruiting app.
