Chapter 2: Composition

Before You Even Take a Shot, Consider the Following:

•   What do you intend to do with your shots?

•   Who is your audience?

•   Do you want to get your images published?

•   Do you want your shots enlarged or exhibited?

•   How should the image by composed?

•   Should it be highly detailed or abstract?

•   Should the focus on the image be on the color, the shape, or the texture?

•   What would it look like in black and white?

•   What should the relationship be between the subject and the background?

•   How relevant is the background? Does it overpower the main subject?

•   Are there any unattractive shadows ...
