MIDI notes and data can be edited in a number of ways within SONAR using a variety of Views. Depending on your musical background you may prefer to use the Staff (notation) View or the default Piano Roll View as your main MIDI editor. There are also other Views, which can be used for more specific types of editing such as the Event List which is great for finding odd or spurious MIDI data, and the Sysx View for more advanced users to send and receive Sysx messages, useful for attached hardware.
