The obvious mainstay of any recording studio is audio, even if you write your music entirely using soft synths you will, at some stage, need to convert or record your creations as audio.

Audio can be the sole format that you use or can be brought into play just to record a sample that will be tweaked and contorted then used as the basis for a synthesizer or sampler patch but it is vital and everyone using SONAR should learn how to record, edit and process audio.
