The Schematic View is similar to the Workspace panel in that it is basically a look at the entire Workspace (project) at hand. The most obvious difference is that instead of being a text-only listing and organizational layout, the Schematic is an iconic or ‘node-based’ system that shows the flow of image data.
The Schematic shows the sequence of events of footage and operators as nodes connected by arrows which indicate flow direction. Once again, this flow of data is known as the Process Tree.
