Web Font Linking Service Bureaus

One of the most exciting possibilities in Web typography is the Web font service bureaus that have started to appear. These services allow you to choose from a catalog of fonts you can easily purchase a license for, and provide code to add to your Web pages that takes care of linking the fonts for browsers that support @font-face linking (including Internet Explorer).

The great advantage of any of these services, though, is that they have taken the grunt work out of identifying fonts with EULAs that will allow @font-face linking in Web pages.

These services are still very young—some are still in development at the time of this writing—but they offer what might be the easiest and least controversial path forward ...
