19. On Your Own

So we’ve reached the end of the book. I hope you feel a lot more comfortable about developing Win8 apps in XAML than you were eighteen chapters ago.

This chapter is a little different. Well, okay, it’s a whole lot different. In this chapter I won’t be presenting any new information. Instead, I’ll walk you through building a little piece of the color application we’ve been playing with. Not a full-blown app, of course (nothing that would make it through Store certification), but the beginnings of one. Enough, I think, to give you a sense of how the process works in the real world and to help you consolidate what you’ve learned in the last 700-odd pages.
