The Flickr API methods are organized into groups by functionality. This section provides a quick overview of API as a whole, but we recommend that you view the individual API information pages on Flickr for the particular calls that pique your interest. Also, bear in mind that Flickr's API is still rapidly growing and gaining in functionality. Check the current method list at http://www.flickr.com/services/api/ to find new additions and changes.
These methods are used to authenticate (i.e., authorize) applications that use the Flickr API:
You might need to use these methods if you intend to use other
API methods that perform more invasive tasks, such as deleting photos
or viewing your own private photos. However, we recommend that, if
possible, you avoid using these methods by making use of one of the
API kits that performs authentication internally.
phpFlickr (for PHP users) and
Flickr::API (for Perl users) are two
