Summary

In this chapter, we discussed several key techniques to walk around the world. We coded our first server-side extension and created the connectivity between Flash client and the database.

We can walk in our virtual world now, but it seems that we are still missing something. We have basic terrain and avatars. The next step is putting objects in the world. In the next chapter, we are going to discuss the buildings and environments of the virtual world.
