Very Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

Note that on an iBook (and possibly some other notebook computers), the function keys (F keys) work as described here only if you press and hold Function while you press the F key. However, on most computers you can press the F key alone and get these results.

F5

Add frame(s). You can click once on a frame that is 10 or 15 frames to the right of the last existing frame in a layer, and then press F5 to add that many frames with a single click. To lengthen an existing sequence (e.g., a motion tween), click inside that sequence and press F5 as many times as the number of frames you want to add.

Shift-F5

Remove frame(s)—any kind of frame. (In some cases, you will find it better to right-click on the Timeline ...
