Framework H.E.A.R.T.

Developed in partnership between Digital Telepathy and Google Ventures, the framework can help product owners or UX professionals define which numbers will indicate whether the product is achieving its expected success or not.

Defining UX metrics is a bit more difficult and subjective than defining business metrics (number of products sold, number of leads generated, and so on), but the framework can help.

The framework, called H.E.A.R.T. (happiness, engagement, adoption, retention, task success), is nothing more than a series of metrics that you can apply to the entire product or to a specific functionality that you plan to release.
