What about apps?

Much is said about web accessibility, but apps can and should be accessible to any user. In general, UX designers should try to feed accessibility into design systems as much as possible. A first step is to check the accessibility guidelines for the operating system for which you are designing: iOS or Android. 

Although responsive sites are accessible from a variety of device types (the most common of which are smartphones, phablets, tablets, laptops, desktops, and TVs), the fact that a site is responsive does not automatically make it accessible to all types of users. Understand that responsive design makes apps accessible to multiple devices and screens and not to users.
