About the Authors

George Stalk is a Senior Partner and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group. He has consulted to a variety of leading manufacturing and service companies throughout the world. For over a decade, George worked and lived in Japan, where he first revealed the sources of Japanese competitive advantage in cost, quality, and—most important—time, leading to BCG’s breakthrough thinking on the use of time as a competitive weapon.
