Chapter 13. The Main Build Leads to Operational Capability

The Main Build Phase produces a software system that’s ready for release to the operational environment. The product is intended to satisfy the requirements and to provide quality and reliability appropriate to the application. After the development organization commits to the financial and schedule arrangements by which the phase is to be governed, the phase begins with the assignment of the initial staff.
