So you know a guy who says he knows a guy who says he can get a famous guy to be in your movie? Sadly, more often than not, loose connections don’t pan out, and it may take more than your word to convince investors someone famous is interested in doing your movie. While you do not need a signed contract to begin leveraging a celebrity’s interest into raising money, a sign of commitment does help.
