Comparison of PLC with Other Contemporary Solutions
Table 8-1 lists a detailed analysis of the PLC solution as compared to cable, wireless, DSL, and PON solutions. Note that for PLC we consider Main.net's solution in general. PLC provides some distinct advantages in terms of cost and feasibility. A disadvantage is that PLC doesn't provide a ubiquitous connection, one that has high bandwidth and is free of errors.
