The Advantage of Spread Spectrum

So far we have discussed SS technology from both frequency-hopping and direct-sequence perspectives. We understand the direct advantage of SS technology in terms of security. Obviously in the present scenario this is a big advantage, but not the only one. The biggest advantage of using spread spectrum technology is the ability to relax the stringencies on signal to noise ratio of a transmitted signal.
