Through, By, and With: Developing Teamability and Shared Consciousness
When we are “downrange” in the center of combat, we have what we call the Tactical Operations Center (TOC), which is a lifeline for everything that a tactical unit does. Staffed by all types of military specialists, the TOC is designed to track, monitor, and coordinate troops in the field and to pass and receive communications. Its makeup is similar to a mission control center you might see in the movies, with a series of laptops, large-screen monitors, radios, and people working to track the movements of our troops in the field.
