10.8 CONCLUDING REMARKS

Many approximate numerical analysis methods have evolved in the last six decades for solution of complex engineering problems due to advent of high speed computers. Out of various available numerical techniques, finite difference method (FDM), finite element method (FEM), boundary element method (BEM), finite volume method (FVM) and meshless method have become popular among scientists and engineers. With advancements in computational science and development of modern computers and high speed processors, application of these numerical techniques has become much easier.
