You have an opening to fill. So you do what you’ve seen other neighboring businesses do: you put a sign in the window saying, "Help wanted. Apply within." Or you put a blind ad in the newspaper describing the position in broad terms and inviting all comers to send their resumes to a mystery company via mailbox.

Oddly, you receive no responses. Maybe the sign in the window wasn’t visible enough. Or maybe next time, you should put a border around the classified ad in the paper—a nice thick line to attract the eye. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
