16. Filters and Compositing

Just as the term motion properties is used to describe a collection of tools that do a lot more than move things, so the term filters applies to a lot more than just tools for tinting or texturing an image. Final Cut Pro comes with more than 70 video filters, with a wide variety of uses. In addition to a suite of image-control filters for color correction and tinting, Final Cut Pro provides filters you can use to blur, twirl, emboss, ripple, flip, mask, and key.
