Once you’ve worked through the previous chapters, you will have gotten your feet wet in the major areas that characterize digital nonlinear video editing. Even if you move to a system besides Final Cut Pro, you will find that the principles and techniques hold true, even if the toolsets change somewhat. With few exceptions, the processes covered in this book are based on a universal model, and that knowledge can be applied wherever you need it.
