At this point you should have given some thought to what kind of film-maker you want to be, where in the country you might want to go to school, and chosen your three to five schools that you feel would work best for you. Hopefully the deadlines for the applications aren’t in two weeks. If they are, maybe it’s worth taking another year to work on your applications, develop some life experience, and make sure you put your best foot forward.

1. Start Early
