Part IV. Integrity and Security

This part helps you broaden and stratify your user base. Not all users have the need to know all aspects of your operation — for example, customers checking availability don't need to see your cost of goods. As users unfamiliar with your solution access it, you discover what's called "monkey mode" by some — the apparently random wanderings, keystrokes, and mouse-clicks.

The chapters in this part use numerous examples and incisive insights to introduce account management, guard against nonsensical data and careless operation, and maintain a recovery system and an archival system to improve your solution's data consistency and resistance to corruption.
