Summary

In this chapter, we explored a Probe Response MMPDU in detail. The interpretation of the fields in the various IEs, including how to interpret multi-octet fields (with respect to bit ordering issues) was also covered. With this knowledge, anyone familiar with a packet “sniffer” should be able to map between what they see on a packet analyzer versus what they see in the IEEE 802.11-1999 standard (or any of its derivative standards).
