Military to Federal Resume Conversions

The preparation and development of a federal resume for a service member is no different than it is for a nonmilitary member. The content of the resume needs to be in alignment with the duties and specialized experience noted on the federal job vacancy announcement.

Constructing a resume while still engaged in the military is an excellent strategy. When you are ready to retire or ETS, you will have a resume ready to “tweak” to meet specific announcements, and you will be ready to apply for open positions.
