B.1 A Word about C

This appendix aims to summarize all features of the C language used in this book, though not of the language as a whole. It is intended to be just adequate for the purpose of supporting the book, and should not be viewed as complete. With care and experimentation it can be used as an adequate introduction to the main features of the language. If you are a C novice, however, it is well worth having another reference source available, particularly as you consider the more advanced features. References B.1 and B.2 are both good.
