You’ll find many places to start an ad, because Facebook wants to make spending money with Facebook easy. In this chapter, we show you one of the many places to start a Facebook ad. Keep in mind, though, that you may see links in other areas of Facebook, such as in your sidebar of your personal Profile or on your business Page, that lead you to the area where you can create your Facebook ad. All the links essentially end up at the same place — that is, to the area where you can start your Facebook advertising campaign.

One point to understand in the Facebook ads process is that you create all ads from your personal Profile. This may feel counterintuitive when you are creating an ad for your Facebook Page but it is the way that Facebook ads work. So don’t get nervous if you are redirected back to your personal Profile when starting an ad. That is where you are supposed to be.
