Chapter 17. Networking for Business—and for Jobs

As you know, Facebook is a great place to connect with family members and old friends. It’s also a good place to connect with current and former co-workers, as well as others in your industry or profession. For that matter, many people use Facebook to help them look for new jobs; with all those “friends” you have on the Facebook site, at least one of them must know somebody somewhere who can help you get an in for a new position.

How, then, do you use Facebook on a more business-oriented basis? It’s a matter of taking advantage of the appropriate Facebook features, and of acting a bit more professional online.
