SUMMARY
ADO is definitely the wave of the future with Microsoft, so you might as well get used to using it. DAO and ADO have some definite differences. To read more about each data access method, review the following chapters:
In Chapter 5, “Working with Data Access Objects,” you learn about the various collections that can be used with Data Access Objects, including the TableDefs collection.
In Chapter 6, “Introducing ActiveX Data Objects,” you get some instructions on how to use the latest data access methods Microsoft has to offer.
In Chapter 26, “Startup Checking System Routines Using DAO,” you take the various routines seen here and use them with Data Access Objects.
