Bloomsbury and Regent’s Park
It’s hard to beat this part of London for sheer spectacle: it has mummies and movie stars, lions and labyrinths. It’s possible to go a full weekend without setting foot outside Regent’s Park, thanks to its zoo, open-air theatre, canals and lakes, while the busy Madame Tussauds is nearby. If the vast treasures of the British Museum don’t attract, then fascinating smaller museums cover canal boats, toys, medicine and more.
