Of course programming is what it's all about. XP embeds programming in a process that lets programmers stay healthy through the course of a project, by helping the project to stay healthy. As we program, we work in pairs, using simple design plus refactoring to keep design quality high. We integrate all the time, so that we can all improve the code wherever it needs improving. And we communicate through the code by writing in a meaningful, standard way.
