1. What is Internet? Discuss its evolution.
Ans.: The word ‘Internet’ is derived from two words: interconnection and networks. It is also referred to as ‘the Net’. Internet is a worldwide system of computer networks, that is, a network of networks, which allows the participants (users) to share information.
