Chapter 10Follow-the-Sun Global Technology Team*

Follow-the-Sun is a simulation based on different time zones. A global virtual team working at three sites, each one in a different time zone and of a different culture, will simulate follow-the-sun project work using only e-mail—with its endemic communication and cultural difficulties. An intervention is introduced before the last round to improve teamwork. The task is to draw a map of the world, a task that includes three stages: vision, design, and drawing.
