A. Installing VirtualBox and Linux and Cloning the Virtual Machines

You can install the test cluster discussed in Chapter 4, “Planning for and Creating a Fully Distributed Cluster,” on a laptop, a desktop or a server. The steps are the same regardless of the machine you use. As I mentioned in Chapter 4, I used Oracle Enterprise Linux for running my three-node cluster. However, you can use Red Hat Linux, CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu, or any other Linux distribution you wish. Everything works either exactly the same way or with very minor differences.
