Given the predictive power of IQ testing, it may seem strange that it is rarely included in an executive assessment. Yet for a number of reasons these tests are perceived as being unfair and irrelevant. As a consequence, executives are very reluctant to take them, and businesses are somewhat afraid to administer them. In other words, despite the incontrovertible predictive value of cognitive-ability testing, it has been discarded because of its imperfections.
