IT’S RARE THAT ONE person can take an idea from concept to completion. Typically, no one person controls all of the information, expertise, and resources required to bring an idea to fruition. Executing an innovative idea requires the support and assistance of many people.

Contacting people whom you already know and rely on in other areas of your career is a good place to start. Someone who knows you and respects your work is more likely to take the time to help you with your project than someone who doesn’t know you and isn’t sure of your capabilities.
