Chapter Summary

In this chapter, I described how you can take some of the concepts that have already been discussed, such as team folders, views, forms, distribution lists, and digital dashboards, and turn them into a completely dynamic and ever growing reservoir of knowledge and information. Specifically, I described the following:

  • How to use team folders to effectively store knowledge

  • How to use distribution lists to increase communication and help capture knowledge as it flows from person to person over email

  • How to index knowledge collected by a knowledge management system to ensure that all users have the ability to search the wealth of knowledge in an organization
