Outlook Web Access is intended for use when the regular Windows version of Outlook is not available, but it has many features that make it a good interface choice even when the regular Outlook is a possibility. No deployment is a critical feature that could have a major effect on the overall cost of maintaining an Exchange system, and Web based applications have much lower hardware requirements than their rich client counterparts. Moving beyond deployment benefits, the Web-based interface also permits an almost unlimited amount of customization.
