Enhanced Chat Services

An existing feature of Exchange that has been upgraded to meet the growing demands of corporations is the Microsoft Exchange Chat Service. The Microsoft Exchange Chat Service is now extremely scalable, capable of supporting up to 20,000 users while providing extremely tight integration with Windows 2000 Active Directory.

With the Chat Service, users can join channels, otherwise known as chat rooms, which are organized into virtual communities in a public or private setting. The Microsoft Exchange Chat Service can host many chat communities at the same time and can be used by organizations to provide forums of communication for almost any reason.
