Setting Advanced Options
In addition to display options, the Advanced pane in Excel options also includes options when performing calculations in a workbook and when providing general user feedback. You can set the precision option to permanently change stored values in cells from full precision (15 digits) to the current format, or you can set the feedback options to play sound, show add-in user interface error, or display alerts to update links. If you want to open one or more specific files when you start Excel, you can specify a folder in Advanced options.
