Working with PowerPivot

If you’re using Office Professional Plus, you can also use the built-in PowerPivot add-in (New!), which allows you to build simple data models directly in Excel. PowerPivot is helpful when you want to import, filter out, and quickly process millions of rows of data from multiple data sources. You can use PowerPivot to define data hierarchies, calculation fields, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and use the Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) language to create advanced formulas.
