Working with Touch Screens

If you’re working with Excel on a touch screen device, all you need is your finger to make gestures (New!). A gesture is the movement of one or more fingers on a touch screen or pad. For example, touching the screen is called tapping or dragging your finger with a flicking motion at the end of the movement is called swiping. In Excel, you can double-tap a cell to edit it, or tap and drag to select a range. To make Excel easier to use with touch, each program provides Touch/Mouse Mode (New!), which adds or removes more space between commands on the Ribbon.
