ISBLANK

Synopsis

Use ISBLANK to look at the specified reference and determine if it is an empty cell. The function returns a logical value of TRUE if the cell is empty; otherwise, it returns a value of FALSE.

=ISBLANK(Value)

Example

Figure 20-2 illustrates how ISBLANK can be used to check specific cells to determine if they are blank. You will notice that the function returns a value of FALSE for all cells that contain any type of value.
