PROPER

Synopsis

Use PROPER to capitalize the first letter in a string and any other letters that are preceded by a non-letter character. All other letters are converted to lowercase. For example, “This is a BOX” is converted to “This Is A Box.”

Figure 18-5 illustrates how to use PROPER to convert a string so that only the first letter of each word is capitalized.
